Johanna Rosen, Community Organizer and Communications Coordinator

 

Johanna joined the UNHSI in 2014 to support the Food Solutions New England team.

Jo also works part-time with Equity Trust, developing a program to address land tenure issues facing urban agriculture and supporting the Farms for Farmers program. She has over 15 years of farming experience and returned to her home state of Massachusetts after 11 years in Philadelphia, where she co-founded and was Director of the Mill Creek Farm, a non-profit educational urban farm. Jo is a senior fellow in the Environmental Leadership Program and served on the Board of Grow Food Northampton, the Mayor’s Food Policy Advisory Council in Philadelphia, as well as other boards.

 

She holds a BA from Smith College and a Master of Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania with a Certificate in Land Preservation.
