Engage in your sustainable learning community! Any staff/faculty member may join the Green Office Program. Participating in the Green Office Program will help make our workplace more sustainable and engaging and contribute to the University's broader sustainability initiatives.

Thank you for your interest in the Green Office Program! Any UNH faculty or staff may participate in the program. The Green Office program is composed of volunteer UNH employees. Members meet each semester and work with Sustainability Institute staff throughout the year to learn about the University's sustainability initiatives and ways to implement practices within their own departments to assist in meetings these goals. 
 

Staff who elect to participate in the Green Office Program receive training and support from Sustainability Institute staff and interns. They have an initial consultation, progress meetings, and final audits prior to receiving a certification. Throughout the process, they have access to resources to assist them in creating a green office (flyers and videos) as well as resources to help them promote and educate their peers regarding sustainability.

 

Program Goals

  • Assess current sustainable practices in UNH departments and offices
  • Assist departments and offices in identifying additional practices to help increase sustainability
  • Build network of sustainability contacts for creating best practices and sharing advice
