Dr. Cameron Wake to chair sustainability dual major

Senior VP of Academic Affairs, P.T. Vasudevan, recently named Research Professor Cameron Wake as the Program Chair of the sustainability dual major.

Professor Wake is with the Earth System Research Center/EOS with a joint appointment in the Department of Earth Sciences. He is also the Josephine A. Lamprey Professor in Climate and Sustainability at the Sustainability Institute.Professor Wake’s scholarship seeks to improve our understanding of regional climate change and integrated climate change solutions. He has taught at UNH for over 20 years and has mentored dozen of undergraduate and graduate students.

From 2005 to 2010, Professor Wake served as a Faculty Fellow in the office of the Senior Vice Provost for Engagement and Academic Outreach where he chaired the Undergraduate Research Conference and helped develop and lead the Faculty Research and Engagement Academy. He was part of a faculty team that developed the DMS proposal and, since its approval, has served on the University Committee for the DMS. He currently serves on the Faculty Senate as a Senator for the Department of Earth Sciences.
As Program Chair, Professor Wake will chair the University Committee for the Dual Major in Sustainability (UCDMS); oversee curriculum design, approval, and implementation; support the DMS Associate Director, and report to the Senior Vice Provost of Academic Affairs.
