Katie Bennett, Nitrogen Footprint InternKatie is the Sustainability Institute's Nitrogen Footprint Intern. The footprint is being calculated using recently collected data and will be utilized as a tool for the University to focus their sustainability initiatives. The next step for the project is to combine the Nitrogen footprint calculation tool with the Carbon footprint calculation tool so that these two may be calculated simultaneously at other institutions in the future. 

Katie is an Undergraduate Environmental Science major at the University of New Hampshire and joined the Sustainability Institute in the fall of 2016. She is interested in policy and hopes to pursue a law degree to become an environmental lawyer or policy advisor to help protect our natural resources and move the world in a more sustainable direction. On campus, Katie is a member of the sorority Alpha Xi Delta, the University Honors Program, and the Ski and Board Club. She is from the small town of Medway, Massachusetts and enjoys camping with her family, hiking, skiing, and playing with her dogs.
